2012 Earth Day Cemetery Clean-Up

Sunday marked the Annual Earth Day Historic Cemetery Clean-up that Abandoned Dreams holds every year. While we normally just clean up the Peck Burial Grounds, this year we teamed up with Bryan from the New England Ghost Hunters, and a dozen or so volunteers to take on 4 local  unkempt historic cemeteries.
All of these shots are from the cemetery we spent the majority of our day in, the Follet family burial plot.
I'll get around to taking some "After photos" of the rest of the cemeteries when I'm in the area and it's a little less damp outside.

I'd like to take this time to give a personal thank you to:
Bryan, Jennifer, Charles, Shawn, Bill, Donna, Kenneth, Carol, Steve, Jennifer, Jay(and his son), Evelyn and Horace for coming out in the rain and making this all possible. You guys are all stand up people.

The Death Of The 3 Story

The House still smolders as I write this...
I'm saddened to announce the demise of the 3 Story Boarded Up House that's shown up on the Abandoned Dreams page multiple times in the past.
I heard 5 or 6 separate sirens fly past my house, so I turned on my scanner. I heard them dispatching pretty much all of my cities resources to an address I knew all too well. I went upstairs and interrupted my neighbors haircut and asked him to give me a ride.
Within minutes, we were on scene watching an old friend burn to the ground.             This house was one of the first abandonments I ever played in, almost 10 years ago.
To view a set I took there just a few months ago, follow the link below:

SevenSixteen

It was another 80 degree day outside, so Abandoned Dreams decided to head underground. It's been a while since Cambria and I had visited the 716, and both CJ and Bryan had never been, so we decided to do it. Not long after we arrived, CJ decided wet drains just weren't for him, so we cut the day short. I have to give the kid credit though, he did try, and that's more than I can say for some people. Can't win em all.
