The plan was simple: Show CJ the Balfour Mill. It's a spot Abandoned Dreams has been using as a "No Worry" explore for years and years. We've showed dozens of new explorers around the building. We've had at least half a dozen ADE picnics with 6 or seven of our members there at a time. We've shot it during the day and at night, but this trip turned out to not be a "No Worry" trip.
We'd been inside shooting for almost 3 hours when CJ noticed a cop car pull up outside, clearly in search of us. He pointed it out to me, and I clearly saw the K9 warning on the side. Not liking cops, or dogs for that matter, I decided we'd run to the complete opposite side of the mill, hop out the loading dock, and make our escape without even being seen. We made it across the mill complex(with damned good timing), hopped off the loading dock, turned left to make the final dash to where we were parked offsite, and THEN saw the other 3 cruisers sitting right in front of us. Upon further inspection, we noticed they'd had the mill surrounded on all 4 sides. No matter where we exited, we'd have fucked ourselves. We'd more or less jumped right into their arms.
Long story short, we got arrested, spent the next four or five hours in jail, went to court the next day, and now I have to be super careful for some time. Turns out, the courts are getting sick of seeing the terms "Trespassing" and "B&E" next to my name, so I got fucked pretty hard.
Regardless, expect to continue seeing updates on the Abandoned Dreams site. We don't give up that easily.
